Sports Turf Manager
The role of Racquets Superintendent plays a critical part in providing a safe and enjoyable experience for our members, their families and their guests. Traits of the successful candidate should include a great attitude and someone who enjoys providing a memorable experience for others. In addition, the candidate should be highly motivated, work autonomously, and detail oriented.
The Racquets Superintendent will report directly to the Director of Golf Courses and Grounds. The successful candidate will collaborate, communicate on a regular and on-going basis with the Director of Golf Courses and Grounds.
Other Important Duties
Conduct and maintain the Club’s distinction as an Audubon Cooperative Sanctuary, including, but not limited to the Blue Bird trail and koi ponds.
Educational Requirements
High school diploma or equivalent or associates or bachelors in agronomy, turf management, horticulture or a related field.
Experience Requirements
Minimum of one year of professional experience that includes the maintenance of athletic facilities, specifically, tennis, both clay and turf.
Special Requirements
Become familiar and comfortable with our grounds department management team. Understand the property and the overall club structure before the start of the outdoor racquets season. Take direction in a positive manner from key management personnel and execute needed tasks to improve surfaces for playability.
