Mechanic Job Description per Invited Clubs
 
Reports directly to the Golf Course Superintendent
 
Day to Day:
· Establish and implement preventive maintenance programs for all equipment on inventory in the golf maintenance operation.
· Be responsible for the repair and maintenance of all golf maintenance equipment.
· Maintain the mechanics work area and company tools in a clean, well-organized, safe, and secure manner at all times.
· Will be responsible for maintaining adequate inventory levels of petroleum products, replacement parts and shop supplies as established by the Golf Course Superintendent.
· Advise Superintendent on capital equipment addition or replacement needs.
· Assist in training grounds staff on proper and safe operation of maintenance equipment.
· Be responsible for all required documentation relating to equipment repairs and purchasing replacement parts.
· If applicable, will be responsible for supervision, training, and task scheduling of all mechanic’s assistants employed in the golf course maintenance operation
· Responsible for seeing that daily assignments are completed in the respective areas, to meet Club standards and as communicated expectations (ie no trash/debris on course, etc.).
· Assist fellow Employees, Members and guests to ensure delivery of the 3 steps of service without being directed. Be aware of team members and the environment and participate as a member of the team.
· Notify supervisor of Member/Guest complaints at the time they occur. Rectify, practicing service recover, any complaints as soon as possible

· Because of the fluctuating demands of the Club’s operation, it may be necessary that each Employee Partner to perform a multitude of different functions; therefore, as an essential part of your job, you will be expected to help others when the occasion arises, just as other Employees are expected to help you. Accordingly, you may be expected to perform other tasks as needed or as directed.
· Adhere to all of the various company, club and department written mandatory standards of operations, policies and procedures, manuals, memos, oral instructions, etc., all of which go to make up the essential functions of the job.
· Responsible for demonstrating good teamwork.
· Professional, impeccable appearance maintained by self and all private event personnel.
· Take initiative to solve problems, utilizing all available resources including regional and corporate staff.
· Responsible for maintaining good conduct and safe working habits while in all areas and assuring others are acting safely.
· Attendance at daily line-up and participating as requested.
Physical Requirements:
Sitting, standing, walking, driving, exposure to temperature changes, dust, fumes, or gases, squatting/kneeling, reaching, grasping, pushing/pulling, twisting/bending, lifting/carrying/pushing/pulling up to 80 lbs. on occasion, folding/unfolding, talking, hearing, and seeing.

· Construction tools (shovels, axes, sledgehammers, etc.)
· Gardening tools (pruners, rakes, hedge shears, trimmers, etc.)
· Blowers
· Grass Mowers
· Tractors
· Mechanical tools (wrench, drill, screwdriver, etc.)
