2nd Assistant Superintendent
Responsibilities
- Responsible for assisting the Assistant Athletics Director/Turf Superintendent with the planning, coordination and execution of annual and daily programming and safe operations of the athletic department owned and operated sports turf equipment.
- Responsible for the development and implementation of the preventive maintenance plan for the sports turf equipment.
- As a subject matter expert in sports turf equipment, ensures proper care in the use and maintenance of equipment and supplies; promotes continuous improvement of workplace safety and environmental practices.
- Responsible for researching industry trends and making equipment purchases recommendations designed to aid in the performance of the sports turf equipment.
- Will meet regularly with Assistant Athletics Director/Turf Superintendent to prepare, recommend, and manage the equipment budget, monitor costs and expenditures, identify variances, and make recommends and implement corrective actions as necessary.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree and three years experience or a high school diploma or equivalent and seven years of experience. (Note: or a combination of post high school education and experience equal to seven years.)
- A valid State of Florida or Georgia Driver’s License or ability to obtain upon hire.
