Assistant-in-Training
The Country Club of York is looking for an Assistant-in-Training. The AIT reports directly to the Director of Green and Grounds and the Assistant Golf Course Superintendents. This position aids in the direction and participation in the maintenance of the golf course tees, greens, fairways, and irrigation system.
Country Club of York is private golf club located in York, PA and was established in 1899. The club has hosted the 1999 U.S. Junior Amateur, the Pennsylvania State Open in 2014 and 2023 and is inquiring about another USGA event in the future. Country Club of York is in the process of working on a master plan with golf course architect Andrew Green. This plan involves completing one major project every fall off the master plan. The Club just completed a major tee renovation on our 13th hole which was completed by McDonald and Sons Golf Course Designers.
The Country Club of York will host the 2025 Pennsylvania Golf Association’s Men’s and Women’s Four-Ball Championships. This tournament will be held on June 2nd-3rd. This will be a great opportunity to gain valuable tournament preparations.

Educational Requirements
Recent graduate with a 2 to 4 year degree, or certificate program in turf management, or related field at an accredited university.
Experience Requirements
Experience preferred but willing to work with anyone that has the drive and dedication to embrace our culture and take the next step in the turfgrass industry.
