Equipment/Shop Manager

Lochmere Golf and Country Club is an 18 hole Golf Course located in the Lakes Region of New Hampshire.  We are currently accepting applications for the Head Mechanics Position. We are seeking a highly motivated and organized individual with a great attitude to complete daily operations involving the maintenance of the golf course equipment.

Experience Requirements

·         3-5 years of experience as a mechanic

·         Ability to understand and follow written and verbal direction from the equipment manager

·         Must be able to lift 50 pounds

·         Turf equipment experience preferred

·         Familiarity with Diesel/Gas Engines and Hydraulic Systems

Job Duties include but are not limited to

·         Overhaul and repair maintenance vehicles, mowing equipment and other power equipment.

·         Lubricates and services all equipment.

·         Inspects equipment for operating deficiencies and makes routine adjustments when necessary.

·         Maintains up-to-date understanding of hydraulic systems, repairs and their components.

·         Inspects, changes and repairs tires.

·         Assists in controlling tool access and use by maintenance staff.

·         Cleans working areas after repair work is completed.

·         Assists in fabricating, body repair and painting.

·         Adjusts and sharpens cutting units and on mowing equipment.

·         Assist as needed on maintenance crew and may operate mowing equipment.  

·         Assists in training the maintenance staff in the proper care and upkeep of the golf course equipment.

·         Incorporates safe work practices in job performance.  

·         Regular and reliable attendance.

·         Performs other duties as required.

·         Reports to Superintendent
