Seasonal Intern

Founded in 1981, Long Cove Club is a fully private, gated community located in Hilton Head Island, South Carolina. Long Cove features a championship golf course designed by Pete Dye, which is widely recognized as one of his finest. The golf course recently just underwent a major restoration project in 2018, which included regrassing the fairways with Celebration bermudagrass, regrassing the greens with Tifeagle bermudagrass, restoring bunkers to their original design, upgrading drainage systems, and replacing multiple bulkheads and all cartpaths. As well as, a brand new pump station and Rainbird irrigation system in 2024. Long Cove is currently ranked #8 in the state of South Carolina by Golf Digest and #148 in Golf Digests “The Second 100 Greatest” top 100 Greatest Golf Courses in the U.S.

The interns will work closely with the superintendent and assistants on a daily basis in all facets of golf course maintenance. Daily tasks will include, but not limited to: course set-up, hand watering, mowing, fertilizer/pesticide applications and calibrations, irrigation maintenance and repair, weed and disease identification and management, and insect monitoring and management. 

Applicants should have an excellent eye for detail, good attitude, strong work ethic, sense of urgency, ability to take initiative, and a great desire to learn.
