Equipment/Shop Manager

Full-time

Fairview Country Club is a full-service private club with an an 18-hole golf course, 12 tennis courts, 3 paddle courts, 4 pickleball courts, a swimming pool complex, short game area, and a practice range.  The expansive clubhouse also includes a hotel for members and their guests.

The golf course is continuously being improved through projects and innovative maintenance programs. 

The equipment fleet is valued at over 3 million dollars. The maintenance facility has all the most modern amenities, including two equipment lifts, two lift tables, and modern grinders. Most of the equipment fleet is from the Toro Company.

Experience Requirements

Some essential attributes should include:

  • Manage preventative maintenance, ordering parts, and maintaining repair supplies for golf course equipment.
  • Inspect, diagnose, adjust, and repair mechanical issues in a variety of equipment, including mowers, motors, reels, and braking systems.
  • Perform welding, machining, and fabrication of parts for equipment repairs.
  • Oversee equipment-related expenses, including parts, service work, and fuel inventories.
  • Keep accurate records of maintenance, repairs, and parts ordered.
  • Maintain knowledge of light/heavy construction equipment, 2 cycle, 4 cycle, diesel engines, hydraulic systems, and mowing equipment maintenance.
  • Perform all routine grinding, sharpening, and height of cut adjustments; monitor the quality of cut through consistent field inspections. We have all fairly new Foley reel, bed-knife, and rotary sharpeners.
  • Diagnose mechanical issues and schedule preventative maintenance.
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and organized maintenance area.
  • Actively communicate any need or problem relating to the maintenance or repair of equipment to the Superintendent.
