Crag Burn Golf Club is a 1969 Robert Trent Jones Sr. design and is consistenly ranked in the top 30 courses in the state of New York. The club sits 20 minutes south of Buffalo in East Aurora NY on a 240 acre property. Crag Burn is a unique golf club that boasts a 7200 yard links style course, surrounded by 50 acres of fine fescue. We are currently seeking a motivated individual to join our team as an Assistant-in-Training. The ideal candidate will be a self-driven individual and determined to advance their career in the turf industry. The AIT will work alongside the Director of Grounds, Course Superintendent and  Assistant Superintendents to produce championship conditions on a daily basis. This year presents a great opportunity to gain construction experinence as the club breaks ground in August on a $5 million dollar renovation to the golf course with golf architect Tyler Rae. The project will include restoring 24,000 sq ft of greens surfaces, XGD drainage install in all greens, new irrigation loops around all greens and approaches, complete bunker rebuild using Better Billy Bunker liner, tee construction, fairway expansions and cart path work. The candidate will be heavily involved in all aspects of the  project and help complete the renovation alongside NMP Construction, Golf Preservations, Golf Water and Turf Drainage of America by the end of 2025.

Educational Requirements

Accepting graduates or students currently enrolled in a Turfgrass Management Program.     

Experience Requirements

Experience preferred but not required; willing to train the right individual.
