ABOUT THE CLUB:
Midland Country Club (MCC) is a traditional private country club offering a family-oriented experience, exceptional facilities, personal service and lifelong relationships. Founded in 1927, Midland Country Club has long been an important part of the rich Midland history and culture. Located just north of the city, MCC offers an oasis in the desert. With an 18-hole championship golf course, a spectacular 9 hole par 3 course, tennis facility and social amenities for your whole family, MCC is your home away from home!
Midland Country Club’s crown jewel is its 7,483-yard Championship Golf Course. The layout features over 50 well-placed bunkers and winds through 350 acres with each hole surrounded by native prairie grasses and mesquites that not only adds to the scenic beauty of the course but also to its overall challenge. These items, in conjunction with the maturity that comes with 60 plus years of age, make this golf track both challenging and unique.
The course was designed by the legendary Ralph Plummer, who designed some of the greatest courses in Texas; including Champions Golf Club, Dallas Athletic Club and Preston Trail Golf Club. During 2015, under the guidance of Weibring Wolfard Golf Design we embarked on a complete renovation of our practice facility including a new driving range, a 9-hole short course and a state-of-the-art learning center. Then began the second phase of the $8.9 million project, restoring the Club's beautiful Championship Golf Course. This project included all areas on the course, including new tees, bunkers, lakes and greens. The new course offers a great challenge to golfers of all levels while still very reminiscent of the look and feel of the traditional classic era of Mr. Plummer. At MCC you will find everything you need to enjoy the game of golf.
