Equipment/Shop Manager

Richmond Country Club located just west of Richmond, Va in Goochland County is a private club with golf, tennis, swimming and clubhouse facilities.  The course has been top rated in Richmond Times Dispatch Best of Golf Course Five years running.  The Equipment/Facilities Manager position is charged with keeping Equipment and Maintenance Facility in conditions that enable and inspire the staff to keep the course to the expectations of our members.

This includes but not limited to:

Maintain a work log of equipment repair and preventative maintenance for: mowing height changes, grinding, operation changes, repair and scheduled maintenance,  etc. 

• Familiarity with budget with regards to repairs and maintenance costs.
• Operates all equipment from heavy equipment to basic string trimmers to know expectations of equipment.
• Monitors equipment abuse and/or negligence and performs disciplinary steps as needed.
• Monitors equipment and mowers after repairs working out on the course for proper operation and cutting.
• Checks heights and cutting ability daily and sharpen blades/reels as needed.
• Purchasing/Inventory for all repairs and maintenance of equipment to minimize downtime.
• Monitor costs as compared to budgets.
•  Keep all working areas clean and organized: equipment shop, office, grinding area, etc.
• Perform other duties under the direction of the superintendent
