Assistant Superintendent

Oak Hills Park Golf Course is a public 18 hole course located in Norwalk, CT. We are are looking for an assistant superintendent to help lead our grounds crew. Designed by Alfred Tull and opened in 1969, we finished phase one of bunker renovation using capillary concrete liner system. Phase 2 will commence this fall to complete the bunkers. Our greens and tees are bent/poa, tees and fairways are a variety of grasses typical to the northeast. Oak Hills hosts 48,000 rounds per year and in the last ten years have upgraded many aspects of our overall operations, including completion of a continuous cart path. Also on property are 8 har-tru tennis courts and a full service restaurant in season.  

Duties will consist of course set up, operation of Toro Lynx with VP satellites, calibration and use of spreaders and spray equipment, ability to trouble shoot and repair irrigation issues, afternoon watering, safe operation of equipment, training of crew members and assignment of tasks as needed.

Educational Requirements

Minimum 2-year turf certificate or degree in related field

It is a requirement candidate attain CT pesticide applicators license within 90 days of employment.

Experience Requirements

Two years on course experience required.

Special Requirements

The ability to work with all staff as a team is required. Please come with a positive, can-do attitude.
