Golf Course Superintendent
Reports to the Director of Golf Course Maintenance.
Supervise, train, mentor, and assist maintenance staff in daily duties.
Prepare the daily schedule for all staff for your course.
Incorporate safe work policies for maintenance staff and leads by example.
Remain up to date knowledge of fertilizers, chemicals, and current course practices.
Maintain log of all fertilizer and chemical application.
Knowledgeable of calibration for mixing amounts and application techniques for applications.
Ability to apply pesticides and fertilizers as instructed by Superintendent.
Assist in all areas of golf course work, projects, maintenance, and operation of golf course irrigation systems.
Educational Requirements
Completed an associate’s degree/certificate or higher in relation to a turf or horticulture degree.
Requires knowledge of construction, establishment, and maintenance of a golf course.
Requires knowledge of landscape construction, materials and irrigation systems.
Previous club experience.
Required knowledge of the game of golf.
Must have good customer relation skills and the ability to communicate well verbally and in writing.
Experience Requirements
Must have strong supervisory and leadership skills.
Candidates must have experience in the industry or related horticulture field.
Organized and detailed in their working environment.

Must have a keen eye to inspect the course and be physically able to do manual labor (lift a 50 lb. bag of fertilizer and use a shovel or similar tools).
