Golf Course Superintendent
The Golf Club of Houston is excited to announce an opening for the Member Course Superintendent position.
The Golf Club of Houston is a private golf club in Harris County, Texas, near Humble and northeast of Houston. The club contains two 18-hole courses; the Member Course is private, while the Tournament Course is open to the public. The Tournament Course was designed by Rees Jones and tour pro David Toms and has served as the home for the PGA’s Houston Open, USGA Women’s Qualifier, and LIV Golf Houston Tournament. This position will work daily with the Director of Agronomy and Tournament Course Superintendent to ensure the Clubs high standards and expectations are being met. Educational Requirements
2- or 4-year degree/certificate in turfgrass management or related field.
Experience Requirements
3-5 years in golf course maintenance in a supervisory role is preferred.
Special Requirements
- Supervise staff, hiring, training, scheduling, and performance management
- Ability to multi-task
- Must be a team player and work well with others
- Efficient in crew scheduling/routing
- Irrigation water management
- Possesses or be able to obtain a Texas pesticide license within 90 days
