Equipment/Shop Manager
The Club at Snoqualmie Ridge is an 18-hole private family golf & lifestyle Club located in Snoqualmie, WA, 25 minutes from downtown Seattle. We are the only Jack Nicklaus Signature design in the state of Washington and first opened for play in 1999. The ridge offers scenic views of the surrounding Cascade mountains and has been host to the annual Boeing Classic, a PGA Champions TOUR event since 2005.
Ability to troubleshoot and repair all types of equipment including diesel and gasoline engines, as well as hydraulic and electrical systems. Must understand proper mower sharpening and set-up techniques and maintain highest attention to quality of cut. Ability to weld and fabricate a bonus. Strong organizational skills to set up and follow a preventive maintenance program, order parts, track and adhere to a monthly budget in addition to proactive communication skills required. Maintain a clean and organized shop. Must keep records of parts and labor used to repair each piece of equipment.
Educational Requirements
Minimum high school diploma.
Experience Requirements
Willing to train the right candidate with mechanical aptitude with an experienced mechanic for 4-6 months before turning the job over.
Experienced Mechanic- $35 / hour. If in training, $25/hour for 4-6 month training period then $35/hour upon completion of training.
Prefer 2+ years of experience with golf course maintenance operations, equipment, and repair and/or formal training in golf course equipment maintenance but not required.
Special Requirements
Must be willing to respond to emergency calls for repairs, work occasional weekends/overtime shifts during marquee tournaments, aerification and special projects as needed. The ability to bring a positive attitude and be a team player for the overall success of the Club and team will be prioritized. This position will also partner closely with the Golf Course Superintendent and Assistant Superintendents to plan and ensure equipment is set up and ready for use when needed.
