Spray/Applications Technician
Haverhill Country Club is looking for hard working, self-motivated individuals who want to join a great team maintaining the 18-hole Wayne Styles designed golf course. A dependable person with a strong work ethic who enjoys working outdoors would thrive in this environment. The right candidate would be trained in most areas of golf course maintenance including, but not limited to, pesticide/fertilizer applications, mowing, rolling, hand watering, and most other aspects of golf course maintenance. The applicant would assist the Superintendent and Assistant Superintendent in most or all plant protectant applications. Overtime is available every week. This is a seasonal position that would run from approximately April-November.
Educational Requirements
A degree or certificate in turf management or related field is preferred, however applicants with appropriate golf course experience will be considered.
Experience Requirements
Minimum of 1 year of golf course maintenance work required. Spraying experience preferred but not required.
Special Requirements
Applicant must be able to obtain a Massachusetts and New Hampshire Pesticide Applicators license within 6 months.
Applicant must have a valid drivers license.
Apply Fertilizers and Pesticides via both spray and granular application equipment.
Calibrate, clean, and maintain sprayers and granular spreaders.
Maintain a clean and tidy chemical and fertilizer storage area, keeping track of product inventories.
Mix and load spray recipes with precision as directed.
Assist with daily golf course set up on non-application days by performing tasks including but not limited to: Mowing Greens, Tees, and Fairways. Rolling Greens. Course Set-Up. Watering.
