Seasonal Intern

Sacconnesset Golf Club is an up and coming, high end, private golf club located in Falmouth, MA on Cape Cod. The Rees Jones designed, championship golf course opened for play in 2007. The membership purchased the club in 2016 and has since invested heavily in improving all of the club's facilities, most importantly, the golf course. The golf course was substantially renovated in 2017, including the installation of the Better Billy Bunker liner system in all of the green side bunkers. Over the last five years the club has committed to completing substantial in-house renovation including; tee expansion and leveling, relocation and construction of a state of the art Short Game Practice Facility, cart path relocation, bunker renovation and installation of the Better Billy Bunker liner system in the fairway bunkers. 

Sacconnesset Golf Club is proudly hosting the prestigious 115th Massachusetts Open Championship in June of 2025.

Turfgrass Interns will be exposed to and heavily involved in all aspects of Turfgrass Management. They will work directly with Assistant Superintendents and Golf Course Superintendent. Responsibilities to include, but not limited to;

• Golf Course set up
• Pesticide and fertilizer applications, calibration and record keeping
• Participation in cultural practices such as, aerification, verticutting, etc.
• Walk mowing of greens, collar and surrounds
• Involved in water management programs and hand watering
• Irrigation troubleshooting, repair and maintenance
• Exposure to daily scheduling with digital job board 
• Small crew management
• Participate and be heavily involved in all in-house renovation and construction projects
