Job Summary
Foley Company is seeking a full-time Sales and Service Representative to join our team in Florida. This role is responsible for servicing, maintaining, and repairing Foley grinders while also driving sales and customer engagement. Foley operates a factory-direct model in Florida, ensuring best-in-class service and responsiveness. This position plays a key role in providing timely and professional support to customers, including demonstrations of equipment, installations, training, and sales.
The ideal candidate is mechanically inclined, customer-focused, and technically proficient in grinder maintenance. This position requires the ability to effectively communicate technical solutions, provide hands-on service, and showcase Foley’s equipment using a truck and trailer.
Key Responsibilities
Service & Technical Support
- Perform routine maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs on Foley grinders, including reel grinders, bedknife grinders, and related equipment.
- Conduct preventative maintenance and calibrations to ensure optimal equipment performance.
- Diagnose and resolve mechanical and electrical issues in grinders.
- Provide on-site and remote technical support to customers, ensuring minimal downtime.
- Maintain accurate service records, complete work orders, and document service activities.
- Assist with equipment installations, setup, and operator training for new and existing customers.
- Ensure all repairs comply with safety regulations and manufacturer guidelines.
Sales & Customer Engagement
- Act as a technical advisor for potential customers interested in Foley grinding equipment.
- Conduct product demonstrations and explain the features, benefits, and ROI of Foley grinders.
- Build strong customer relationships by providing exceptional service and follow-up support.
- Collaborate with the sales and product development teams to share customer insights and industry trends.
Educational Requirements
- Technical degree or equivalent experience in mechanics, electrical systems, or a related field.
- 5+ years of experience in equipment repair, field service, or maintenance (preferably in turf or industrial grinding equipment).

- Strong knowledge of grinders, cutting equipment, and reel mower maintenance.
- Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, schematics, and diagrams.
- Hands-on experience with electrical and mechanical systems.
- Proficiency in using diagnostic tools and service equipment.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a customer-focused approach.
- Willingness to travel within Florida and occasionally beyond for training.
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
Preferred Qualifications
- Prior experience servicing Foley grinders or competitor grinding equipment.
- Knowledge of golf course or sports turf maintenance.
- Sales or customer service experience in a technical field.
Work Environment & Physical Requirements
- Field-based role requiring travel across Florida to customer locations.
- Work in indoor and outdoor environments, including golf courses, maintenance shops, and equipment facilities.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs, bend, kneel, and stand for extended periods.
- Frequent use of hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic equipment.
