Equipment/Shop Manager
Indian Hills Country Club located in Marietta, GA is seeking an experienced Equipment Manager to oversee the maintenance, repair, and management of all golf course equipment. The ideal candidate will ensure that all machinery operates efficiently to maintain optimal course conditions. This is an excellent opportunity for a detail-oriented professional with a strong mechanical background and a passion for turf equipment maintenance.
Indian Hills Country Club is family-oriented private country club located in East Cobb County of Marietta, GA. The club features 27 holes of golf, open seven days per week, with extensive practice facilities. There are also eight tennis courts, three swimming pools, and a beautiful clubhouse featuring excellent dining and year-round social events.
Educational Requirements
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Proficient in the use of computers, word processing, spreadsheets, and electronic mail is highly preferred.
Experience Requirements
• At least 5 years of experience as the lead Equipment Technician/Manager.
• Certifications: Equipment Technician Certification (preferred but not required).
• Working knowledge of various types of golf course maintenance and construction equipment is required
• Skilled in the use of a wide variety of equipment repair tools, and the making of various types of mechanical repair
• Knowledge of the theory, care, and operation of internal combustion engines, hydraulic systems, and mowing equipment
• Ability to diagnose mechanical troubles and determine appropriate maintenance work
• Fully qualified to operate a motor vehicle on company business.
• Ability to communicate effectively and keep business records
• The flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays is essential.
• Working a non-traditional schedule as set by the Director of Grounds and Agronomy and/or Golf Course Superintendent to ensure all duties are completed and ensuring the overall success of the club and golf courses.
• Other Skills: Attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to work independently.
• Physical Requirements: Ability to lift 50 lbs, work outdoors in various conditions, and perform hands-on mechanical tasks.
