Assistant Superintendent

Glocester Country Club is a unique private 9 hole golf course located on Waterman Lake in Harmony RI. We are looking for an assistant superintendent to add to our crew. Expect a fast paced, fun, friendly work environment while working to take Glocester to the next level. The assistant superintendent will help in all aspects of golf course maintenance and will work closely with the superintendent and all crew members on a daily basis. 

The assistant superintendents duties include but are not limited to:

• Oversight and management of grounds crew

• Involvement in all of the aspects of the clubs property

• Fertilizer and chemical applications

• Irrigation repair and hand watering

• Course set-up, and mowing

• All the physical tasks involved with a grounds department.

• Training provided for all operations

Preferred requirements

• Working towards a certificate, degree or continued education in turfgrass management, landscape or related-field.

• Possess or be able to possess RI pesticide license 

• 2 or more seasons on the golf course preferably

• Good attitude, ambitious, team player and willing to learn.

• Mechanical knowledge of golf course equipment would be a big plus
