Irrigation Technician
Forest Highlands Golf Club is currently searching for a motivated individual to fill our Irrigation Tech role on the Canyon Course. The Canyon Course opened in 1988, and was designed by Tom Weiskopf and Jay Morrish. The irrigation system was replaced in 2017, and consists of HDPE mainlines and laterals, Toro Infinity sprinklers, as well as Hunter 1-20's and I-25 pop ups. The irrigation tech's responsibilities would include (but are not limited to), general daily maintenance of the irrigation system, checking adjustments, nozzles and functionality of the system. The irrigation tech would also be responsible for checking greens and other areas of the course for moisture content and watering where needed. Under normal circumstances the irrigation tech will have one ore two team members for help in the checking of greens, tees and fairways etc. The operating system for the Canyon Course is the Toro Lynx system, with VP satellites on the golf course. (knowledge of these components is helpful but not necessary).
Educational Requirements
High School Diploma /Equivalent
Experience Requirements
General golf course irrigation knowledge, and turf experience is helpful. Some knowledge of the Toro Lynx system, and Toro irrigation would be helpful but not completely necessary.
