Assistant Superintendent

Full-time

Te Arai Links Golf Club is seeking an Assistant Superintendent to help manage the North Course.  This is a dream opportunity for an outdoor enthusiast because of the bounty of fishing, surfing, golf, and hiking that is on your doorstep. We are located in a small coastal community positioned on the east coast of the North Island about an hour and a half from Auckland CBD.  The North Course is a Tom Doak design, and features severe undulations and significant elevation changes throughout the entire property. Although the course is only a few years old, there are still several projects to complete in order to enhance the presentation and playability of this modern links gem.

We are seeking an energetic individual who is a team player and desires to help lead our operation to the next level. Te Arai Links is a large employer with over 250 employees, therefore it is important the chosen candidate has the ability to coordinate with other departments including the greenkeeping staff on the South Course.

The Assistant will work closely with the Superintendent and Director of Courses to plan and execute daily operations, evaluate current agronomic programmes/procedures, and strategise long term projects. The daily role of the Assistant includes IPM, participating in daily maintenance, crew management and training, and irrigation scheduling, and fertiliser and pesticide application.
