Equipment/Shop Manager

Position Overview: We are seeking an experienced and proactive Equipment & Mechanic Shop Manager to oversee the daily operations of our two repair and maintenance shops. These facilities service a range of equipment, including vehicles, heavy machinery, and specialized turfgrass equipment. This role is pivotal in ensuring efficient workflow, adherence to safety regulations, and the overall effectiveness of our equipment maintenance programs.

Key Responsibilities:

• Operations Management: Supervise and coordinate the activities of both shops to ensure timely and quality repairs and maintenance.
• Team Leadership: Manage, mentor, and develop a team of mechanics and support staff, fostering a collaborative and productive work environment.
• Inventory Control: Oversee parts and supplies inventory, ensuring adequate stock levels and cost-effective procurement.
• Financial Oversight: Monitor and manage the budget for the shops, including cost control and expenditure reporting.
• Safety Compliance: Ensure all operations comply with safety regulations and company policies, promoting a culture of safety among staff.
• Equipment Maintenance: Develop and implement preventive maintenance schedules to minimize downtime and extend equipment lifespan.
• Troubleshooting: Diagnose complex mechanical issues and provide guidance on effective solutions.
