Job Summary
The organization is actively seeking qualified individuals to fill two full-time Maintenance Technician's:
Maintenance Technician I - Events/Projects
Maintenance Technician I - Turf Crew
These position's primarily focuses on carrying out essential maintenance tasks, landscaping, and operational support activities under the guidance of the assigned supervisor. Key responsibilities include preparing, trimming, cutting, raking, mulching, watering, and weeding the grounds; potentially applying specialized turf care; preparing fields for athletic events; performing basic maintenance and repairs on vehicles and equipment utilized in the role; and employing fundamental building trade skills for simple preventative maintenance and repairs. While this role does not include direct supervisory duties, it may involve overseeing the efforts of volunteers, seasonal staff, and community service participants.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
• Prepares athletic fields for competition by maintaining grounds and structures, clearing debris, and disposing of trash, all in alignment with the schedules of games and tournaments.
• May serve as essential personnel in response to county emergencies
• Manages the operation of machines, vehicles, and tools, ensuring adherence to prescribed safety standards.
• Carries out essential maintenance activities, conducts repairs, and fulfills work orders.
• Carries out maintenance tasks in exterior environments.
• Other key responsibilities related to the position and department may also be performed as necessary.
The established work schedule is:
Maintenance Technician - Events/Projects: typically Monday to Friday, and can include providing coverage during weekends, evenings, holidays, and weather-related events.
Maintenance Technician - Turf Crew: a flexible schedule that encompasses weekdays, evenings, and weekends. Availability for on-call duties or reporting as assigned is essential. There may be a need to travel to different areas within the county or to various starting locations depending on departmental requirements. Additionally, employees may be required to extend their work hours beyond the regular schedule or work on weekends, and they may be subject to recall.
Minimum Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent and one (1) year of related work experience in ground maintenance or building trades; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Preferred Qualifications:
Class A Commercial Drivers License CDL preferred
