Assistant Superintendent
Pine Lakes Golf Club is a Signature Arnold Palmer designed golf course located on the northeast coast of Florida in the growing City of Palm Coast. Amenities include an 18,000-sf clubhouse, restaurant & practice facility. Pine Lakes GC is seeking a highly motivated Assistant Superintendent to join our team.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Assist in planning and supervising the maintenance programs of greens, tees, fairways and irrigation system.
- Schedule and assign task so that all departmental assignments are covered. Supervise the day-to-day operations to ensure consistent quality playing conditions.
- Instruct, train and supervise equipment operators in the operation and care of mowers, tractors, sprayers, and small equipment.
- Supervises pesticide applications and/or operates and calibrates pesticide application equipment.
- Supervise and participate in the operation and maintenance of pumps, irrigation and drainage systems.
- Required to do any job pertaining to maintenance of Golf Course as directed by the Superintendent.
- Communicate with co-workers, management, members, guests and others in a courteous and professional manner.
The Assistant Superintendent will work closely with the Superintendent and management and will be involved in all aspects of golf course operations. This will include participating in determining golf course projects and improvements and being an integral part of elevating course conditions. Management is investing in elevating every aspect of the facility and is looking for a team player to grow with us.
Developing a work-life balance is important to the sustained success of our operation. Although long hours will be required during the growing season, the Assistant Superintendent will have some flexibility in their schedule to create that balance when the golf maintenance schedule permits.
Educational Requirements
Two-year degree in Turf grass management or horticultural sciences is preferred however; we value experience and will consider a candidate who possesses strong employment history.
Experience Requirements
3 to 5 years experience in Golf Course Maintenance including pesticide calibration and application and irrigation troubleshooting and repair.
Special Requirements
Possess Florida Pesticide & Fertilizer Applicator Licenses or ability to acquire within 60 days.
Candidate will be required to get their Florida Aquatic Pesticide License within 6 months of employment.
Candidate must be mature, responsible, a self starter and interested in growing with us.
Applicant must understand and demonstrate the work ethic and attention to detail to support the Golf Course Superintendent and club.
