Firefly is currently UNDER CONSTRUCTION and is set to open in 2026. 

Firefly will feature a core 18-hole golf course and a 9-hole short course designed by Andrew Green, who has been critically acclaimed for his renovation of classic designs at Scioto, Congressional, Interlachen, Inverness, Oak Hill, and most recently East Lake. This will be Andrew Green’s first original design.

There will be 407 eventual homesites in the premier community.

The property is located approximately 30 miles south of downtown Nashville and approximately 15 miles south of downtown Franklin, on the east side of I-65 in Maury County. The gated entrance to the community will be on Highway 431, about 5 miles south of the new June Lake exit on I-65.

 

JOB DESCRIPTION AND REQUIREMENTS

  • The selected candidate will be an accomplished leader in their field. Strong mechanical aptitude is required.
  • The Equipment Manager will work closely with the Director of Golf Maintenance and management team to deliver world-class championship conditions daily.
  • Develop and and oversee a comprehensive preventative maintenance program for over $2.5M of equipment and other club assets.
  • Provide input and oversight into the development of the maintenance facility best management practices including compliance, safety requirements, label database including SDS & MSDS labels, equipment wash and storage practices, fuel facilities, and waste handling. 
  • Be a HIGHLY APPROACHABLE and proactive leader.
  • Ability and knowledge to maintain cutting units at an extremely high level.
  • Have patience and understanding with the first year or two of the project as we navigate the construction and grow-in phase.
  • Willing to embrace and utilize all new technology that becomes available.
  • Be a self-starter, team-player and strive for interdepartmental excellence daily.
  • Experience with John Deere equipment preferred.

Educational Requirements

  • High school diploma required.
  • CTEM preferred.

Experience Requirements

Golf course maintenance equipment experience required.

Special Requirements

Ability to work productively and with a good attitude during the construction and grow in phases while the turf care facility is being built.
