The Golf Course Equipment Manager is responsible for the maintenance, repair, and overall management of all equipment used in golf course operations. This role includes conducting regular inspections, performing preventative maintenance, and ensuring all machinery is safe and efficient for daily use. The Equipment Manager will work closely with the GC Superintendent and Assistant Superintendents to coordinate equipment needs and operations. Strong mechanical skills, attention to detail, and knowledge of turf management practices are essential for success in this position. The role may require flexible hours, including early mornings, ensure the golf course remains in top condition for members and guests.
The Club at Holliday Farms has a new agronomy building, built in 2022, and a new equipment-lease package coming in 2026. The facility serves as a central hub for enhancing our turf management practices, providing our team with the tools and resources needed to elevate the quality of our golf course. Educational Requirements
- High School Diploma
- GCSAA CTEM preferred but not required
Experience Requirements
- Prior experience as a successful Equipment Manager, Head Mechanic, or Assistant Mechanic
- Advanced understanding for golf course maintenance equipment repair and diagnostics
- General understanding for all types of engines, hydraulics, pumps, electronics, etc.
- Ability to weld, fabricate, and powder-coat
- Thorough experience using reel and bed-knife grinders
- General knowledge using computers, Toro MyTurf, Microsoft Office, email, etc.
