Climate Change and Turfgrass Management

03/22/2012 Paul Vincelli, Ph.D., University of Kentucky

It is critical that superintendents plan for the long-term implications of changing climate, adapt their turfgrass management practices to a changing climate and seek to reduce the carbon footprint of turfgrass management operations. Paul Vincelli, Ph.D. of the University of Kentucky includes information on the scientific consensus behind the concept of global warming and how it will influence long-term turfgrass management. This presentation also includes a review of current research on fungicides and how they fit into the overall context of turf management during times of changing climate.
