Frank S. Rossi, Ph.D., of Cornell University discusses how continued restrictions and concerns for environmental quality have challenged many golf course superintendents to review their pesticide use more critically. As a result, many are seeking alternatives that provide control with an environmentally compatible approach. The presenter also will discuss how ongoing research at Bethpage State Park has helped improve the understanding of reducing chemical use and has led to reduced costs and improved turf quality on the Green Course there.
