As the 2nd Assistant Golf Course Superintendent, you will become an integral member of a dynamic leadership team, working directly alongside the Superintendent and Assistant Superintendent in all aspects of golf course management. This is more than a maintenance position. Essential Job Duties:
- Assist in planning, scheduling, and supervising daily golf course maintenance activities.
- Monitor turf health and assist with implementing agronomic programs, including fertility and cultural practices.
- Perform and supervise fertilizer, pesticide, and plant protectant applications while maintaining accurate records.
- Assist with irrigation scheduling, troubleshooting, repairs, and water management programs.
- Help prepare the golf course for daily play, tournaments, and special events, including cup placement, tee marker setup, and course detailing.
- Operate and train staff on golf course equipment and maintenance procedures. - Assist with aerification, topdressing, overseeding, drainage projects, and other course improvement initiatives.
- Maintain records for chemical applications, maintenance activities, equipment usage, and weather conditions.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
