INDIAN BAYOU GOLF CLUB IS SEEKING A QUALIFIED AND MOTIVATED INDIVIDUAL FOR THE POSITION OF 2nd ASSISTANT GOLF COURSE SUPERINTENDENT.
Indian Bayou Golf Club is an eighteen-hole semiprivate club in Destin on Florida's northern gulf coast. The course was originally designed and renovated by Earl Stone. The property consists of 250 total acres with 100 acres of turfgrass, 3 acres of greens, 17 acres of lakes and approximately 15 acres of maintained natural areas and beds. Almost all turf is Tifway bermudagrass with some tees and rough areas in Celebration and various varities of zoysia.
Responsibilities include:
- Coordinating with the superintendent and senior assistant in the planning, scheduling and implementation of maintenance practices and projects.
- Training and supervising employees and being accountable for the finished results of the work being performed.
- Maintain awareness and communication of changing course conditions and maintenance needs with the superintendent.
- Carrying out the IPM and plant fertility programs.
- Monitor irrigation needs, coordinating with the superintendent for scheduling and system maintenance and repair needs.
