Job Details
The Club is an exclusive private 36-hole links style golf course located in northwest panhandle of Texas, just outside the town of Childress. The Club and courses will take full advantage of its location along the Prairie Dog Town Fork of The Red River on the western edge and the sand dunes on the eastern edge that is reminiscent of Scotland. The Private Club will be a destination club with 150 members with lodging and airport access 10 minutes from the Club.

Experience Requirements
Essential Job Functions:
Assist in the preventive maintenance program of equipment, including accurate record keeping.
Perform or assist parts fabrication, including any cutting, forging, machining or welding.
Must work well with others as a team and help co-workers when needed.
Assistant Equipment Technician places safety as a top priority and is responsible for maintaining a clean service area and maintenance building.
Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail
Expected Experience, Skills, Abilities, Knowledge and Education:
Working knowledge of all turf and landscape equipment, including cutting unit set-up, hydraulic theory and diagnosis, electrical theory and diagnosis, combustion engines, welding, 2 and 4 stroke.
Experience or familiarity on a variety of John Deere, Baroness, and XUV equipment, which what the Clubs inventory consists of.
Ability to read and follow manuals to understand preventive maintenance requirements.
Have a basic understanding of the game of golf and the effects turf equipment has on the overall condition and playability of the game.
Trade school or formal education or certifications in mechanical or electrical or related programs or equivalent experience.
A GCSAA Certificate Program of Completion is a plus.
Ability to lift and move heavy objects.
Have a valid driver’s license.
