Assistant Equipment Technician

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Assistant Equipment Mechanic to support daily operations in a fast-paced golf course maintenance facility. This role is ideal for someone who takes pride in their work, enjoys problem-solving, and wants to grow their career in equipment management.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist in the maintenance and repair of golf course equipment (electric, gas, and diesel)
• Perform routine service tasks such as oil changes, tire repair/replacement, and lubrication
• Support diagnostics and troubleshooting across hydraulic, electrical, and mechanical systems
• Help manage preventative maintenance programs using equipment hour tracking and audits
• Maintain accurate records of repairs, parts, and purchases within CMMS systems
• Assist with inventory management, ordering, receiving, and vendor coordination
• Prepare equipment daily for crew use including fueling, inspections, and staging
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized shop environment
• Assist with training team members on proper equipment use and care

What We’re Looking For:

• Strong mechanical aptitude with basic maintenance experience required
• Small engine diagnostic experience preferred
• Organized, self-motivated, and able to work independently
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
• Comfortable working in a hands-on, outdoor environment
• Ability to lift 50–100 lbs and perform physical tasks daily
• Willingness to work early mornings, weekends, and holidays as needed
