A once in a lifetime opportunity exists for an ambitious turf professional to gain valuable experience in the construction, grow-in, and maintenance operations of a world-class private club in Luling, Texas, a suburb equal distance to Austin and San Antonio. The selected candidate will have the opportunity to play an integral role in the development of two new golf courses and club culture from the ground up. The site is unique with an extensive network of ravines that run throughout the 1,100+ acres, surrounded by a working cattle ranch. The vision is to create an everyday golf experience reflective of the finest in the United States catering to amateur golf. The initial course was designed by Kyle Franz, who is recognized for creating innovative and highly acclaimed golf experiences. The project is deemed to blend design influence from Golden Age architecture with the Texas Hill Country landscape to provide firm, fast and elite conditioning.
The second Course is equally as breathtaking and unique in it own regard. OCM brought classic old-world architecture from Scotland to life on the remaining 600 acres at Luling. Course 2's large fairways and deep bunkering will pose a new set of challenges when it opens this fall. |
