SUMMARY

Olympia Fields Country Club is seeking an Assistant Superintendent to join our grounds team in maintaining two championship golf courses.

As the Assistant Superintendent, you will be responsible for all aspects of general golf course maintenance, including fertilizer and pesticide calibration and application, irrigation repair and installation, drainage repair and installation, pest scouting and monitoring, and supervision of staff. The Club operates two championship golf courses, the North Course and the South Course, both with a rich history of hosting major events. Beginning in October, the North Course will undergo a complete restoration led by renowned golf course architect Andrew Green.

The Assistant Superintendent will have the opportunity to play an active role in this project from the beginning, gaining hands-on experience with construction, grow-in, establishment, and the long-term management of the restored North Course. The position will also be responsible for helping maintain both the North and South Courses to the high standards expected at Olympia Fields.

This is a unique opportunity for an Assistant Superintendent looking to take the next step in their career and gain experience throughout the entire process of restoring and establishing a championship golf course. The North Course restoration will help shape the course's next chapter and prepare it for future championship golf.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE

We are looking for a motivated self-starter with a minimum of a two-year degree from an accredited turf school and at least three to four years of golf course experience. The ideal candidate will have strong leadership skills, a desire to continue developing professionally, and the ability to assume the duties of a Golf Course Superintendent within the next several years.

· Minimum of a two-year degree from an accredited turf school

· Three to four years of golf course experience

· Strong leadership and communication skills

· Desire to continue learning and developing professionally

· Ability to supervise and work effectively with staff

· Ability to pass the required pesticide test within 30 days

EXPECTED WORK HOURS

• This is a full-year, full-time position.
• Required to have the ability to work a flexible schedule based on Club needs.

COMPENSATION

$60,000.00-$70,000.00 with an annual performance bonus
