Assistant Golf Course Superintendent

The current Assistant Superintendent opening will assist the Golf Course Superintendent in developing a program which ensures the continued tournament playing conditions. Responsibilities include: turfgrass / plant material maintenance programs, property / asset management, personnel management, budget / forecasting, member and guest relations, scheduling / maintenance of irrigation system, pesticide applications and record keeping and compliance of regulatory issues.

• Work closely with Golf Course Superintendent on any issues related to golf course maintenance.
• Must be able to work independently and be a self-starting problem solver.
• Oversees the care and maintenance of the turf, plants, trees and wetlands of the  Golf Course.
• Schedule maintenance practices around guest play and outings to maximize efficiency and minimize disruption to play.
• Prior golf course experience required
• Prior supervisor experience a plus
• Must be willing to work in outside environmental conditions
• Must be willing to work weekends, holidays
• Must HAVE or OBTAIN Pesticide license within 90 days as well as have a Valid Drivers license
