Elk River Club is a premier private mountain club nestled in the mountains of Banner Elk, North Carolina. Known for its breathtaking scenery, exceptional member experience, and commitment to excellence, the club has recently completed an extensive golf course renovation, making this an exciting time to join the team. The renovation has elevated the course to a new standard, creating an outstanding opportunity to learn modern golf course maintenance practices firsthand.

We are seeking a motivated Assistant in Training to become part of our Golf Course Maintenance team. This position is ideal for someone looking to begin a career in the golf course and turfgrass industry while gaining hands-on experience working alongside experienced professionals on a championship-caliber course.

As an Assistant in Training, you will be exposed to every aspect of golf course maintenance, including:

• Turfgrass management and plant health

• Golf course setup and daily presentation

• Mowing and cultural practices

• Irrigation installation, maintenance, and water management

• Landscaping and ornamental care

• Equipment operation and maintenance

• Course renovation and improvement projects

Qualifications:

• Positive attitude and strong work ethic

• Desire to learn and develop new skills

• Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions

• Availability to work early mornings, weekends, and holidays as needed

• Previous golf course or landscape experience is a plus but not required
