Overlake Golf & Country Club is seeking a motivated, detail-oriented individual to join our Golf Course Maintenance team as an Assistant Superintendent in Training. This role is designed to develop a well-rounded future leader in golf course management through hands-on experience and increasing responsibility.
The position provides exposure to all aspects of course maintenance, including turfgrass management, irrigation system operation and repair, and pesticide application. The successful candidate will work closely with the Superintendent and management team to develop technical skills, leadership ability, and decision-making confidence.
Responsibilities include daily course setup and maintenance, participation in irrigation troubleshooting and water management, involvement in chemical applications, and assisting with crew leadership and training. This position offers a clear path toward advancement into an Assistant Superintendent role.

Job Requirements
Basic knowledge of turfgrass practices, irrigation systems, or equipment operation is a plus
Entry-level candidates with strong work ethic and desire to grow will be considered
Candidates currently enrolled in a turf program are encouraged to apply
Relevant experience may be considered in place of formal education
Ability to perform physical labor in various weather conditions
Valid driver’s license required
Ability to obtain and maintain a state pesticide applicator license (with employer support)
Strong communication skills and willingness to take on leadership responsibilities
