Assistant in Training/Intern

Areas of highest focus: 

Develop comfort and rapport with pesticide/fertilizer applications 

Monthly inventory and organization of storage 

Entry of applications into GreenKeeper app  

Develop comfort with direction and leadership of small crews to entire staff 

Given opportunity to work along and guide 6 to 7 teammates and learn to create efficiency through coaching and gentle "encouragement" 

Learn scheduling of resources with assistant while setting up daily job board 

Develop a critical eye for detail and how to use it 

Learn and practice critical skills while providing feedback to assistants and superintendent 

General growth areas: 

Positive attitude and strong work ethic

Desire to learn and develop new skills

Learn operation of all machinery. Nothing too small, nothing too big 

Assist in mechanic's shop occasionally; learn to set reel mowers. Knowledge gained will help evaluate cut, mower performance and in turn evaluate mechanic's work

Become proficient in hand watering and water management

Learn Rainbird irrigation control systems and repair/adjustment of heads
