Blackhawk Country Club is seeking a motivated, dependable, and detail-oriented Assistant Golf Course Superintendent to join our golf course maintenance team.
The Assistant Superintendent will work closely with the Golf Course Superintendent to maintain & improve the golf course and surrounding grounds.
The ideal candidate takes pride in maintaining exceptional playing conditions, enjoys working outdoors and is willing to work & lead in both solo and in a team environment.
Responsibilities
- Assist the Golf Course Superintendent with daily planning and execution of golf course maintenance operations.
- Help oversee and direct the maintenance crew and daily assignments.
- Assist with fertilizer application and spraying.
- Assist with irrigation programs and repairs
- Assist with the planning and execution of course improvement projects.
- Monitor course conditions and communicate maintenance needs to the Superintendent.
- Help prepare the golf course for daily play, tournaments, and special events.
- Follow and promote proper safety procedures and ensure equipment is operated safely.
- Work cooperatively with the golf shop, clubhouse, management, and other departments.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the Golf Course Superintendent.
Qualifications
- 2+ years of golf course maintenance experience with a drive to pursue a career.
- Irrigation experience is a plus.
- CT Pesticide applicator license or willingness to obtain license within 90 days of hiring date.
- Ability to work outdoors in varied weather conditions.
- Ability to perform physically demanding tasks, including lifting, bending, walking, and standing for extended periods.
- Strong work ethic and attention to detail.
- Good communication and leadership skills.
- Valid driver's license.

Salary Range
From $60,000 to $65,000 per year
