Assistant Superintendent

Dataw Island Club is a 36-hole private club in a gated community located just outside Beaufort, SC.  Our Tom Fazio designed Cotton Dike course has been host to the Southern Jr., three SC Open’s, both the SC Junior and Senior Amateur, and the 2018 SC State Amateur.  Both courses feature Miniverde bermuda greens, Celebration bermuda fairways, and great marsh and river views.  Its proximity to the ocean, excellent fishing and golf, and great year round weather make Beaufort a great place to live.

We are seeking a motivated individual to fill one Assistant Superintendent position.  This position will work closely with the course superintendent to fulfill all maintenance responsibilities on their course.  Assistant responsibilities will include fertilizer and pesticide applications, project management, supervision and crew leadership, tournament preparation, inventory management, record keeping, irrigation scheduling and repair, and assisting in golf course planning.  Our focus is to prepare all Assistant Superintendents for the opportunity to become Golf Course Superintendents soon and there is potential for growth within our company.
