About the Club
Meadowbrook Golf Club (formerly Meadowbrook Country Club) is currently undergoing a full-scale renovation and is scheduled to reopen in September 2026 under the management of KemperSports. Located just minutes from Memphis, Tennessee, Meadowbrook offers a unique opportunity to be part of the complete rebuild and long-term development of a historic property.

The course renovation includes:

• Rebuilding greens and bunkers
• Sprigging greens with TifEagle ultradwarf bermudagrass
• In-house bunker reshaping and course improvements
• Expansion of teeing areas and construction of new forward tees

This is a rare opportunity for a motivated individual to play a key role in the grow-in and reopening of a golf course from the ground up.

Position Overview
The Assistant Superintendent will work closely with the Superintendent in all aspects of golf course maintenance and daily operations. This position offers hands-on experience in course grow-in, staff development, irrigation management, and long-term agronomic planning.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist in all phases of golf course maintenance and grow-in operations
• Supervise and train maintenance staff
• Assist with pesticide and fertilizer applications
• Monitor turf health and playing conditions
• Support irrigation scheduling, repair, and system management
• Operate and maintain equipment
• Ensure a safe and efficient work environment
• Assist with project work related to course renovation and improvements

Qualifications

• Degree or certificate in Turfgrass Management or related field preferred
• Previous golf course maintenance experience required
• Strong work ethic and willingness to learn
• Ability to lead and communicate effectively with a team
• Knowledge of warm-season turfgrasses (bermudagrass experience preferred)
• Ability to obtain or currently hold a pesticide applicator’s license

We are looking for someone who is eager to grow in the golf course industry—an individual who wants to “cut their teeth” in a hands-on environment and develop into a future Assistant at a high-end facility or Superintendent.

Compensation & Benefits

• Salary: $50,000 – $60,000 annually, depending on experience
