We are seeking a driven Assistant Superintendent who is passionate about turf management and eager to grow within a high-performance environment.

Position Summary

The Assistant Superintendent works directly with the Golf Course Superintendent and is involved in all aspects of daily golf course maintenance. This position plays a key leadership role in executing agronomic programs, supervising staff, and helping maintain exceptional course conditions.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist in planning and executing daily maintenance operations
• Supervise and train crew members; monitor performance and quality standards
• Apply fertilizers and plant protectants in compliance with regulations
• Assist with irrigation scheduling, repair, and water management
• Operate and maintain turf equipment as needed
• Support course setup and detail work
• Maintain accurate records of applications, weather, and course conditions
• Serve as acting Superintendent in their absence

• New Rain Bird irrigation system (2020)
• Bunker renovation (capillary concrete)
• New equipment fleet (2024)
• Tee expansions, drainage, tree management
• Pond Dredging
• Upcoming: pond dredging, par-3 course, nursery expansion

Qualifications

• Degree or certificate in Turfgrass Management, Agronomy, or related field preferred
• 2+ years of golf course maintenance experience
• Ability to obtain Pennsylvania pesticide applicator license within 6 months
• Strong communication and leadership skills
• Knowledge of irrigation systems and modern agronomic practices
• Willingness to work early mornings, weekends, and holidays

Compensation & Benefits

• Salary: $50,000-60,000 (commensurate with experience)
