Golf Course Assistant Superintendent

The Bel Short Course, a growing 9-hole par-three golf facility, is seeking a motivated and hands-on Golf Course Assistant Superintendent to join our team.
This is an exciting opportunity for an individual who takes pride in golf course conditioning and wants to play a meaningful role in the continued improvement of a property with significant potential. The successful candidate will work directly with the Director of Agronomy in planning, managing, and maintaining all aspects of the grounds as we continue to elevate the overall condition and presentation of the property.
Responsibilities
- Assist in planning and executing agronomic programs and course improvement initiatives
- Oversee daily golf course maintenance operations, mowing, irrigation, fertilizer and pesticide applications
- Monitor course conditions and proactively identify opportunities for improvement
- Assist with irrigation system operation, troubleshooting, and water management
- Supervise and lead maintenance staff as needed
- Ensure safe operation, maintenance, and care of equipment and maintenance facilities

Experience Requirements
• Golf course maintenance experience required; superintendent or assistant superintendent experience preferred
• Two-Four year degree in turf or related field preferred but not required
• Experience with irrigation systems and water management
• Pesticide applicator license (or ability to obtain within 90 days) preferred
• Self-motivated, organized, and detail-oriented
• Strong communication and leadership skills
• Hands-on mentality with a passion for improving golf course conditions
• Two-Four year degree in turf or related field preferred but not required
• Experience with irrigation systems and water management
• Pesticide applicator license (or ability to obtain within 90 days) preferred
