ABOUT US
Founded in Washington, D.C. in 1921, Argyle Country Club moved to its current location in Silver Spring, Maryland, in 1945. The course was designed by Perc LeDuc and recently renovated by architect Joel Weiman. Argyle is home to a strong golfing community, including PGA Tour Member Denny McCarthy, who grew up at the Club, and 2023 U.S. Junior Amateur Champion Bryan Kim. The Club regularly hosts USGA qualifying and MSGA events, including the annual Denny McCarthy Junior PGA Invitational and USGA championship qualifiers.
Argyle has made significant investments in the golf course in recent years, including a new Toro irrigation system completed in 2023, conversion of the fairways from Poa/rye to Iron Cutter bermudagrass in 2024, and a full-course, phased bunker, greens-surround, and tee renovation completed through Spring 2025. The Club is now positioned to build on that work while continuing to invest in the property and its team.
Argyle is committed to developing its managers into professionals who lead effectively and advance throughout their careers. Assistants are empowered to make decisions, learn through experience, and take on increasing responsibility as they grow. The Club is also supportive of educational and networking opportunities that help team members continue their professional development.
