Job Title: Commercial, Irrigation, and Golf Sales Account Executive – N. Georgia

Reports to: Commercial, Irrigation, and Golf Field Sales Manager

Job Summary:

The Commercial, Irrigation, and Golf Sales Account Executive is responsible for achieving maximum sales and profitability through the acquisition of new business and the support of assigned accounts by seeking to understand the customers’ businesses, anticipating their future needs, and becoming their primary supplier. This is done in coordination with the Sales Coordinators and the Golf Irrigation sales team.

Primary Duties:

1. Meet or exceed monthly sales and gross profit goals by developing strong personal relationships with existing and prospective golf course and institutional grounds customers in the targeted territory.

2. Demonstrate exceptional dedication to meeting customer needs through timely sales calls to gain knowledge of new projects, new bid opportunities, or changes in customer product/distributor preferences.

3. Ensure products are ordered correctly and delivered on time by communicating and following through with the Sales Coordinators. Provide all information regarding the pricing, equipment configuration, and delivery specifics.

4. Communicate results of sales activity, changes within accounts, differences in economic conditions, tactics and actions of competitors, and all other related market information on a daily basis via JPTI call reports.

5. Responsible for maintaining relationships, names, phone numbers with all important decision makers of the various customer types we call on. i.e.; owners, general managers, purchasing agents, superintendents, assistant superintendents, technicians, board members, etc. Responsible for maintaining customer information via our database.

6. Develop and execute strategies and tactics for maintaining and increasing business with existing customers by documenting and presenting how JPTI can add value to their business by becoming their primary supplier.

7. Conduct equipment demonstrations. This includes the pickup and delivery of the equipment to the demonstration site, operating the equipment in field conditions, and transporting the equipment to the next site.

8. Effectively resolve all customer issues by working with other JPTI departments.

9. Conduct sales activities within established expense budgets.

10. Follow all policies on the completion of paperwork to move inventory to, from, and between customer accounts. This also includes expense account reports and any customer required report including the JPTI large package (any quote of 150k or larger) information gathering forms.

11. Maintain driver logbook and time sheet required by JPTI and follow the rules and regulations of hours of Service when driving a company truck and pulling a trailer. Submit copies of time sheets and logbooks monthly.

12. Must have and maintain a clean motor vehicle record.

13. Facilitate the collection of financial information required to establish and maintain customer credit accounts.

14. Assist with the collections of any past due amounts with customers for purchases of equipment, parts, accessories, and service work.

15. Assist and/or deliver new packages to customers. This includes instruction of proper operation of equipment and obtaining D & A signatures at the time of delivery.

16. Maintain company vehicles and demonstration equipment in like-new condition.

17. Proactive use of Outlook by scheduling 30 days out call patterns of customers.

18. Perform all assigned safety and product training required by JPTI and our vendor partners.

19. Ability and willingness to travel with overnight stays for extended periods.

20. Take a lead role in innovative ways to make JPTI the most desirable supplier for our customers and work effectively with all JPTI groups to create one company to the customers.

21. Must have the ability to work in a constant state of alertness and safe manner.

22. Any other tasks assigned.

Job Requirements

Experience Requirements
Preferred Competencies, Qualifications, and Skills:

· A Bachelor’s degree is preferred.

· A proven two to three-year history of success in wholesale sales in the golf course, municipal, or landscape maintenance industries.

· A strong working knowledge of the major brands of turf maintenance equipment and the golf and grounds market.

· Excellent negotiation, communication, and presentation skills.

· Demonstrated self-starter with excellent skills to creatively solve problems for customers.

· Self-disciplined with a positive, energetic, creative personality.

· Experience with order entry with a wholesale distributor.

· Ability to tolerate stress.

· Ability to lift up 50 lbs.

· Proficient use of Microsoft Office 365 Suite, including Work, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook

· A willingness to learn new systems and concepts.

· Have non-CDL credentials to operate truck and trailer above 10,000 lbs. and not more than 24,999 lbs.

· Have a medical card clearing driver to operate company vehicle and pull a trailer.
