Position: Full-Time Golf Course Mechanic
Forest Creek Golf Club is seeking an experienced and dependable Golf Course Mechanic to join our Golf Course Maintenance team. The mechanic will be responsible for maintaining, servicing, troubleshooting, and repairing the equipment necessary to keep a high-quality golf course operating efficiently.
Responsibilities
- Perform preventive maintenance and repairs on golf course maintenance equipment.
- Diagnose and repair diesel and gasoline engines, hydraulic systems, electrical systems, and other mechanical components.
- Maintain and repair mowers, utility vehicles, tractors, aerifiers, sprayers, and other turf maintenance equipment.
- Perform routine oil changes, lubrication, filter replacement, blade sharpening, and other scheduled maintenance.
- Troubleshoot equipment problems and complete repairs in a timely manner.
- Maintain accurate maintenance and repair records.
- Work closely with the Golf Course Superintendent and maintenance team to prioritize equipment needs.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe shop environment.
- Assist with equipment setup, adjustments, and preparation for daily course maintenance operations.
- Respond to equipment issues in the field when necessary.
- Follow all safety procedures and manufacturer recommendations.
Qualifications
- Previous experience as a golf course mechanic, turf equipment mechanic, agricultural mechanic, diesel mechanic, or related field preferred.
- Strong mechanical troubleshooting and diagnostic skills.
- Experience with hydraulic and electrical systems.
- Knowledge of diesel and gasoline engines.
- Ability to use basic diagnostic equipment, hand tools, and power tools.
- Ability to work independently and prioritize multiple repair and maintenance needs.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
- Valid driver’s license.
- Golf course equipment experience is strongly preferred.
Preferred Experience
Experience working with Toro, John Deere, Jacobsen, Club Car, Cushman, Yamaha, or similar turf and utility equipment is a plus.
