Position Summary
Black Creek Club is seeking a skilled and dependable Equipment Manager to oversee the maintenance and repair of our
golf course equipment fleet. This position plays an important role in providing exceptional playing conditions by ensuring
our equipment is safe, reliable, properly maintained, and ready for daily operation.
The ideal candidate takes pride in their work, understands the importance of preventive maintenance and precision
cutting-unit setup, and maintains a clean, organized, and professional shop.

Primary Responsibilities
● Maintain, diagnose, service, and repair golf course maintenance equipment, utility vehicles, tractors, sprayers, mowers,
and small engines.
●Develop and perform preventive maintenance programs to minimize downtime and extend equipment life.
●Diagnose and repair gasoline and diesel engines, hydraulic systems, electrical systems, and other mechanical
components.
●Perform reel and bedknife grinding, cutting-unit setup, height-of-cut adjustments, and precision mower maintenance.
● Maintain accurate equipment service and repair records.
● Order and maintain an appropriate inventory of parts, lubricants, filters, and shop supplies.
●Coordinate warranty work and outside repairs with manufacturers, dealers, and vendors.
● Maintain a clean, safe, and organized equipment maintenance facility.
●Train staff in the proper operation, inspection, cleaning, and care of equipment.
●Communicate equipment needs, repair priorities, and anticipated downtime with the Golf Course Superintendent and
Assistant Superintendents.
●Assist with equipment budgeting, replacement planning, welding, fabrication, and special projects as needed.

Qualifications
●Experience maintaining and repairing golf course, sports turf, landscaping, agricultural, or similar equipment preferred.
●Strong working knowledge of gasoline and diesel engines, hydraulic systems, and electrical systems.
●Experience with reel and bedknife grinding and cutting-unit setup strongly preferred.
●Ability to diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical problems independently.
● Welding and fabrication experience preferred.
●Strong organizational and communication skills.
●Ability to take ownership of the equipment maintenance operation and prioritize work effectively.
●Valid driver's license.
●Technical education, manufacturer training, CTEM designation, and/or EMCP certification are valued but not required.
