Golf Course Maintenance Crew Member
Job Details
Riomar Country Club is seeking a Golf Course Maintenance Crew Member to join our Golf Course Maintenance team and help maintain one of Florida's most distinctive private club golf courses.
Riomar is a private, member-owned club with a proud history, a strong sense of community, and a commitment to providing an exceptional experience for our members. As we prepare for a significant Golf Course Enhancement Project, this is an exciting opportunity to join our team and be part of an important chapter in the future of the Club.
We are looking for someone who takes pride in their work, enjoys being part of a team, and is willing to learn. Previous golf course maintenance experience is helpful, but we are willing to train the right person who brings a strong work ethic, positive attitude, reliability, and a desire to do things the right way.
The successful candidate will work alongside the Golf Course Superintendent, Assistant Superintendent, and maintenance team in the daily care and preparation of the golf course and surrounding grounds.
This is a great opportunity for someone who wants to learn the golf course maintenance profession, develop new skills, and grow within a strong team environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform daily golf course maintenance activities, including mowing, trimming, edging, blowing, raking, and general course cleanup.
- Assist with course setup and preparation for daily member play.
- Assist with irrigation system operation, repairs, and maintenance.
- Perform routine landscaping and grounds maintenance.
- Assist with fertilization, chemical applications, and other agronomic practices as directed and permitted.
- Maintain bunkers, tee areas, fairways, greens, roughs, and other areas of the golf course.
- Operate golf course maintenance equipment safely and properly after receiving appropriate training.
- Keep equipment, work areas, and maintenance facilities clean, organized, and in good condition.
- Assist with special projects, repairs, and course improvement activities.
- Participate in the Club's upcoming Golf Course Enhancement Project, including irrigation, construction, bunker, and regrassing activities.
- Follow all safety procedures and instructions regarding equipment, chemicals, and workplace practices.
- Work cooperatively with fellow team members and contribute to a positive, respectful work environment.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the Golf Course Superintendent or Assistant Superintendent.
At Riomar, we believe great golf courses are built by great teams. We value teamwork, accountability, professionalism, respect, and a willingness to step in and help wherever needed.
We are looking for team members who take pride in what they do and understand that every job contributes to the member experience. Whether preparing the course for the first tee time of the day or helping with a major improvement project, the work matters.
Our goal is to create an environment where people can learn, develop their skills, and take pride in being part of the Riomar team.
The timing of this position is particularly exciting. Riomar is preparing for a major Golf Course Enhancement Project involving significant improvements to the irrigation system, greens, bunkers, tees, fairways, and overall playing surfaces.
Joining the team now provides a unique opportunity to learn firsthand from experienced golf course professionals and participate in a major golf course transformation. For individuals who demonstrate initiative, reliability, and a desire to learn, there will be opportunities to develop additional skills and take on greater responsibility over time.
