Golf Course Mechanic

We are seeking a skilled and dependable Golf Course Mechanic to join our golf course maintenance team.  The Mechanic will be responsible for maintaining, servicing, diagnosing and repairing a wide range of turf equipment and vehicles to ensure our maintenance operation runs safely and efficiently. 

Responsibilities

• Perform preventative maintenance and repairs on mowers, tractors, utility vehicles, sprayers, aerators and other turf equipment
• Diagnose and repair mechanical, hydraulic, electrical anda small-engine systems
• Service and maintain reel and rotary cutting units, including sharpening, grinding and adjustment
• Perform routine oil changes , filter replacements, lubrication, belt replacement, and other scheduled maintenance. 
• Troubleshoot equipment problems and complete repairs in a timely manner
• Maintain accurate equipment service and repair records
• Maintain a clean and safe organized equipment shop
• Manage parts, supplies, and equipment inventory
• Work with equipment dealers + manufactures when specialized service is required 
• Perform welding and fabrication as needed
• Assist the golf course maintenance team with other duties when necessary
• Follow all safety procedures and manufacturer recommendations  

           Qualifications

• Mechanical experience in golf course turf, agricultural, automotive, or related equipment is preferred
• Strong troubleshooting and problem solving skills
• Knowledge of gasoline and diesel engines, hydraulics and electrical systems
• Experience with reel and cutting-unit maintenance is a plus
• Welding and fabrication experience preffered
• Ability to read equipment manuals and service informationValid drivers license 
• Ability to work independently and as a part of a team

       Physical & Work Requirements

            This position requires working both indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions.  Candidates must be able to lift equipment and parts, stand for extended periods, and safely operate hand tools, power tools, and maintenance equipment.  Seasonal early mornings, weekends and occasional overtime may be required
