Waldorf Astoria Orlando is looking for a Golf Course Spray Technician to join the team! 

Surrounded by Walt Disney Resort, this luxurious Forbes 4-Star property has 502 rooms, 30,000 square feet of banquet space, and 7 food and beverage outlets. This includes 3 restaurants, 2 bars, a pool, and in-room dining. 

Position Summary

The Golf Course Spray Technician is responsible for the safe, effective, and accurate application of pesticides, herbicides, fungicides, fertilizers, and other agronomic products to maintain superior turfgrass quality and landscape health throughout the golf course property. This position plays a critical role in pest management, disease prevention and turf nutrition. 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Apply pesticides, herbicides, fungicides, insecticides, growth regulators, and fertilizers according to label directions and agronomic recommendations.
  • Calibrate and operate spray equipment, spreaders, and related application machinery.
  • Monitor turfgrass, ornamentals, and landscape areas for diseases, weeds, insects, and other pest pressures.
  • Maintain accurate records of all chemical and fertilizer applications as required by regulatory agencies and golf course management.
  • Mix chemicals safely and accurately following established safety procedures and product labels.
  • Inspect, clean, maintain, and repair spray equipment and related tools.
  • Ensure proper storage, inventory control, and handling of pesticides, fertilizers, fuels, and other materials.
  • Comply with OSHA standards, environmental regulations, and company safety policies.
  • Participate in daily course maintenance activities including mowing, bunker maintenance, and course setup when necessary.
